Trina Merry is a fine art and avante garde fashion bodypainter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the owner of the bodypaint installation and performance troupe the ART ALIVE GALLERY. She has been a bodypainter since 2006 when introduced to it by Australian band the Red Paintings on a Dresden Dolls Tour.

Trina is very passionate about this most ancient and simultaneously contemporary artform. “Bodypaint creates a special connection to a person that other visual art forms have trouble accomplishing; it’s a distinctly human experience”.

After graduating with a B.A. in film, she worked on many major films & TV shows in the art department. Trina later decided to move back to the Bay Area to focus on her own art and was exhibiting in up to 9 gallery shows a month, selling ¾ of her work. She then decided to make a full switch to bodypaint 2.5 years ago and hasn’t looked back since.

Trina apprenticed under world renowned bodypainter Craig Tracy at his gallery in New Orleans, working with him on commissions, fine art bodypaintings for his gallery, and an ad for Visit Las Vegas which was seen in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue.

Trina’s body painting has taken her across the U.S. and Europe and would love to paint & study native bodypainting on all 7 continents. It is her desire to open her own gallery within the next 5 years.

Wow, she’s really copied Wolf’s Bodymagic on the UV piece- I’d be mad if I was Wolf! I can’t see any originality in there at all!
